FIBREGLASS POND LINING
Why fibreglass your pond?
Fibreglass liners are strong, hardwearing, watertight and resistant to variations in temperature and weather conditions. The smooth (gel coat) surface of the lining can be transparent or coloured (green, black and blue being the preferred colours). A full range of colours can be offered to suit customer design requirements. All materials used in fibreglass pond lining are completely 'fish friendly'.
Fibreglass liners can be applied to simple pond shapes (e.g. circles, squares, rectangles). The method of application also allows for more complex shapes to be completely lined with a smooth fibreglass surface over every contour or design feature (e.g. steps, shelves or planters), offering an excellent and attractive, fully watertight lining without any folds. This type of lining also allows for easy cleaning, vacuuming and general pond maintenance.
The pond featured in these photographs was built by a customer who wanted to create a 'water curtain' effect as the water falls from the small top pond into the lower pond. Both ponds were lined in fibreglass (black colour gel coat) and a small custom made fibreglass moulding was installed to create the desired effect.
Fibreglass liners are often the last resort for old, leaking ponds when customers find that all other less expensive methods of lining their pond have failed to provide a long-lasting, hardwearing and completely watertight solution.
